Hannah Rose is a Plymouth based artist and arts consultant.

Hannah Rose is an artist and arts consultant who has spent over two decades shaping the contemporary visual arts landscape in the South West of England. Holding an MA in Fine Art from the Piet Zwart Institute, her practice balances institutional leadership with grassroots community building and a dedicated collaborative arts practice.
Hannah is Co-Director of Visual Arts South West (VASW), guiding strategic sector support and regional advocacy across the South West. Previously, she spent 18 years establishing and curating MIRROR at Arts University Plymouth (2006–2024), where she developed the initiative, The South West Showcase.
As an artist, Hannah has collaborated as one-half of the duo LOW PROFILE since 2003, working with organisations including Yeovil Art Space, In Certain Places and the National Trust. Her passion for artist-led growth led her to co-found the member-led scheme CAMP and the professional development platform Jamboree. As a neurodiverse practitioner, Hannah brings lived experience of navigating barriers directly into her freelance consultancy, where she specialises in access support for funding and 1-2-1 mentoring.
Mentoring
I specialise in supporting early career artists to develop their practices and ways of operating, building confidence, skills and equipping them for the next phase of their career.
Funding
I have experience of writing, co-writing and securing a number of successful applications. I also offer access support for ACE funding.
Consultancy
I work as a freelance consultant for organisations who need development support or additional capacity to deliver specific projects.
Teaching
I hold a PGCE in post compulsory education and training and offer guest lectures, crits and tutorials.
Curating
I established a new public gallery at the then Plymouth College of Art in 2006, building the gallery from a small-scale, informal, internally-facing project space to relaunching the platform as MIRROR in 2021
Partnership
