Mentoring

I offer mentoring for artists on a freelance basis, as well as this being a significant aspect of my role as Curator at MIRROR (2006-24).

I specialise in supporting emerging/early career artists to develop their practices and ways of operating, building confidence, skills and equipping them for the next phase of their career.

Testimonials

Talking my practice through with you, and the advice that you gave – especially with revamping my website and a future methodology of working – was invaluable, and I am inspired and motivated to move forward as an artist.

..What followed was some of the most transformative mentoring and support I’ve received to date. From focus on individual works and recurring themes, to workshopping ideas and time management, to devising future strategies with actionable steps to achieve them. Hannah possesses a remarkable ability to illuminate clear pathways forward that may have been challenging to discern independently. Crucially, she assists in establishing frameworks that facilitate the achievement of these objectives. Hannah’s expertise and passion for the contemporary art sector, coupled with her unwavering support for artists within it, are unparalleled. While I continue to digest and implement the actions highlighted from our mentoring sessions, her influence extends beyond just my artistic practice, to significantly impact how I navigate my day to day. In an ideal scenario, I would collaborate with Hannah indefinitely, and I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone who has the opportunity to do so.

Hannah’s mentoring was thoughtful and supportive. She asked great questions which challenged the way we thought about our work in a really helpful way. We definitely benefited from Hannah’s experience and continue to learn from our mentoring.
